The Russian School of mathematics welcomes applicants for Director of Curriculum. RSM seeks an individual committed to our mission who will thrive in a collaborative, collegial, and challenging work environment. The ideal candidate will serve as an intellectual leader and manager of the department and have leadership experience in both Education and Curriculum Development.
Oversee and plan all aspects of curriculum development
Serve as an ambassador of the school methodology and approach to the educator’s community and public
Conduct detailed evaluation of current curriculum and identify areas for improvement
Participate in creating the school’s curriculum development roadmap
Manage and coach a dynamic team of professionals
Maintain a strong familiarity with current research on teaching and learning in mathematics, national and international standards, curriculum, assessment models and best practices related to content development and instructional pedagogy
Teach assigned math classes
At least 5 years of experience in Mathematics Education
Extensive understanding of curriculum development, with focus on mathematics
Excellent editorial, interpersonal, and communication skills with exceptional follow-through and initiative
Excellent organizational and planning skills
Strategic thinker with strong analytical and multi-tasking skills
Strong leadership and management skills and the ability to motivate, excite and educate
Masters or Ph. D in Mathematics or Mathematics Education
Ability to work within budgets and schedules
