Position is 1/2 time each position. Athletic Director JOB SUMMARY: In order to assist the district in providing each secondary school student an opportunity to participate in extra-curricular athletic activities (within financial and human resources) that will foster physical skills, a sense of worth and competence, a knowledge and understanding of the pleasures of sports, and the principals of fair play.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assume leadership in working with the principals and coaches in developing and activity philosophy consistent with that of the district. Implement policies of Board of Trustees pertinent to the activity program of the district. Continuously evaluate programs offered and make recommendations to the principal(s) and superintendent for modifications as appropriate. Assist in the screening and recommendation for employment of members of the activity staff. Recommend purchase of all supplies and equipment using proper purchasing procedures. Maintain an accurate inventory of activity supplies and equipment. In cooperation with the maintenance personnel of the school, be responsible for the care and upkeep of athletic facilities under the supervision of the high school. Coordinate and schedule all activities for the high school/middle school athletics in order to avoid conflicts in use of transportation and facilities. Scheduling will be consistent with IHSAA rules and regulations and/or Board of Trustee policy. In cooperation with the principal of the high school, certify students for eligibility by administering the rules and regulations of IHSAA and follow school policy. Supervise, organize and coordinate the concession stand for all events. For use of district facilities, not involved with any other district or recognized parent group, the athletic department shall be the sole provider of concession goods. Coordinate with the principal all fund raising activities for the athletic department. Implement a vigorous public relations program to effectively interpret the activity programs of the district to the general public. Coordinate the planning and conducting of annual activity banquet, activities award nights and/or other recognition events that pertain to activity at the school. Actively participate in the supervision and evaluation of personnel who have activity assignments. Be responsible for all halftime programs as appropriate. Attend all activity functions provided by the school events scheduled away from the school as developed with the principal. SIC – football and boys basketball. Actively participate in own personal professional growth programs and activities. Knows and follows school policy and the chain of command. Acts ethically and confidentially in all aspects of employment. Performs such school-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Physical Education Teacher Under the general supervision of the School Principal, to develop students' physical skills and abilities, strength, agility, poise, coordination, and teamwork; to develop students' understanding of the importance of exercise to physical and mental well-being; and to motivate students to work towards, physical fitness, hygiene, and good health. To provide, as a member of the Physical Education department staff, a quality education to all students of varying ability,
Essential Functions Develops and administers Physical Education classes consistent with school district goals and objectives. Teaches knowledge of, and develops skills and abilities in, physical fitness, rhythm and dance, coordination and agility, exercise, and sports, Develops students' concepts in leadership, teamwork, responsibility and social skills; providing a safe and optimal learning environment; and appropriate feedback to regarding student progress, expectations, and goals. Continues to acquire professional knowledge and learn of current developments in the educational field by attending seminars, workshops or professional meetings, or by conducting research. Encourages parental involvement in students' education and ensures effective communication with students and parents. Ensures that student conduct conforms to the school's standards and school district policies, and establishes and maintains standards of student behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom. Coordinates with other professional staff members, especially within physical education and grade level, and participates in faculty meetings and committees. Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to teach different levels of Physical Education courses. Knowledge of current physical education instructional methods, as well as differentiated instruction based upon student learning styles. Knowledge of physiology, health and nutrition, biology and biological functions, anatomy, hygiene, exercise, and best ways to promote physical and mental well-being. Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work.
Certification/License: Idaho Certification as a Physical Education Teacher. Idaho Certification as a Health Teacher preferred.
Education: Bachelors from an accredited college or university in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment.
Experience: Successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate grade level preferred. Coaching Experience desired.
