SUMMARY: Franklin School of Innovation is looking for teachers who are willing to work in an innovation setting. There will be additional professional development days for teachers with additional pay and we will be working on the Extended School Year Calendar.
Licensed and endorsed in another content area and highly qualified in Elementary Education - by taking and passing the PLACE or PRAXIS Exam in the Elementary Education Content Area or
Eligible for a TiR or Alternative Licensing Program in Elementary Education Content Area
Support Innovation Zone Purpose, Vision, and Mission
Belief that ALL students can achieve excellence
Growth Mindset is a must
3-5 years successful teaching experience demonstrated by references, evaluations and students growth data
Knowledgeable and understanding of Common Core State standards
Experience with a blended learning model or a desire to learn
Experience with AVID implementation or a desire to learn
Experience in a Title I setting
Experience with Teach Like A Champion Strategies
Experience implementing a balanced reading approach including guided reading and foundational skills
Successful experience implementing strong classroom routines and procedures demonstrated by references and evaluations
Belief that all children can learn and achieve excellence
Belief that the teacher is the primary determinant in student success
Believe that students learning is the primary purpose of the teacher
Belief that well managed classrooms are conducive to student learning
Provide a positive student-centered learning environment that fosters the growth of the whole child
Possess a desire to work with a diverse population
Maintain a positive professional attitude and a professional work ethic
Demonstrate excellent communication skill both written and spoken
Ability and willingness to work as a collaborative member of a team including staff, students and parents
Embrace the Innovation Zone model of instruction and implement with fidelity
Ability and willingness to empower and support the success of others- “Iron Sharpens Iron”
Willingness to engage in a standards based grading protocol
Ability to submit detailed lesson plans each week
