The Stern Center for Language and Learning is seeking a Program Director to oversee the seamlessness of state of the art programs at the Stern Center for Language and Learning (SCLL) which include evaluations, customized instruction, social thinking and communication, and professional learning. This key role is suitable for a thought leader and education expert in scientifically based best practices and research who will be charged with leading in the accountability, marketing and direction of all programs during an exciting, transformative time in the organization’s 34 year history.
• Lead in seamless coordination of programs, services, and initiatives, oversee programs and Program Managers, and provide professional guidance to ensure the excellence of SCLL services both live and online • Manage fiscal accountability of SCLL programs: meet with Program Managers regularly to ensure revenue targets are met; collaborate with the President and COO to determine program needs, develop program budgets, and monitor monthly projections • Act as leader in strategic direction of existing and future services and products using expert knowledge of trends in education, market conditions, and competitor information • Serve as liaison between President and COO and Program Managers • Revise and develop systems within and across programs to increase: o Job performance (accuracy, productivity, timeliness) o Client satisfaction (students, parents, educators, referring physicians) o Staff satisfaction, teamwork, and communication • Work closely with the marketing team and research department to disseminate knowledge about Stern Center initiatives and their background research • Serve as spokesperson for SCLL’s programs, cultivate educational partnerships, and seek opportunities to expand network of productive relationships • Anticipate opportunities to extend SCLL’s presence in the education community, deliver compelling presentations, market educational systems models, and vigorously heighten the organization’s visibility and prominence as evidence based literacy and learning experts • Promote robust recognition and brand awareness through publishing articles online, on the SCLL website, in peer reviewed journals, and in local and national media • Team with the President and Vice President of Advanced Learning to develop large scale and replicable education models to increase literacy integrated with social emotional success from birth to college and career in conjunction with new and potential collaborations with schools, supervisory unions, districts, and institutions of higher learning • Enhance organization by accepting ownership for new and different tasks as assigned and explore opportunities to add value with additional job accomplishments • Serve as member of the Leadership Team

At least 5 years of relevant experience preferred
Doctorate degree preferred
Citizenship, residency or work VISA in United States required
