Reports To: Building Principal
Position Purpose: The job of the In-School Suspension Paraprofessional was established for the purpose/s of overseeing students assigned to in-school suspension; documenting student behavior; providing information to teacher, administrators and/or other personnel. This position will assist students in improving their work study skills, class behavior, and positive self-image.
(The incumbent may be required to use the requirements outlined below during any part of the working day.) While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk. The employee frequently is required to stand and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands and fingers, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently list and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Terms of Employment: 9 months; salary and work year to be determined by the Board of Education.
Evaluation: Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of classified personnel.
