K-5 Assistant Principal
Servicing Pahrump Elementary Schools
210 Days per Year, 8.0 Hours per Day
Funding Source: General Fund
Salary Range: $72,387-$101,400

Job Goal:

Assists with planning, organizing, administering, and directing all activities and functions at the Elementary/Middle/Junior High School level which are essential to the operation of a responsible, effective, and efficient instructional environment, which provides maximum opportunity for student growth.

Qualifications:

Master's Degree

Valid Nevada Administrative and Teaching Licens

  • Valid Nevada Driver's License

    5 years minimum of certified experience in a school system, to include a minimum of three years of teaching experience
     

    This position is to begin the 2017-2018 school year. Successful candidate must complete a thorough background check and pass mandatory pre-employment drug & alcohol testing.

    Working Conditions:

    Office or suitable workspace with desk, telephone, computer, and supplies necessary to carry out functions of position description.

    Selection Procedure:

    The supervisor will interview a minimum of three (3) qualified candidates. If there are fewer than three (3) qualified candidates, the supervisor will interview all qualified applicants on file. After files have been reviewed and interviews have been conducted, the supervisor, prior to submission of the rationale for employment, may consult with the Human Resources Director concerning the individual to be recommended for employment. This recommendation will be reviewed and approved by the Superintendent/designee.
