Job Description

The Agnes Irwin School, a Pre-K through 12 all girls' school in Rosemont, PA, seeks a Major Gifts Officer to join our Development Office. Reporting to the Associate Director of Development, the Major Gifts Officer's responsibilities will include:

• Manage a defined pool of major gift prospects
• Identify, cultivate and solicit individual high-level prospects, including those interested in major or planned gifts to the school
• Develop strong relations with high-level donors and prospective donors
• Manage the portfolio of major gift prospects to also secure their Annual Fund gifts
• Travel to meet donors and donor prospects for cultivation, solicitation and stewardship visits as needed
• Coordinate the Reunion Giving efforts from 1-2 classes each cycle
• Record and report all prospect cultivation and solicitation activity in Raiser’s Edge database
• Carryout stewardship activities as designed by the Director of Stewardship for prospects
o Participate in and assist with special events

• Bachelor’s degree required and a minimum of three (3) years of successful fundraising experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, including writing, public speaking, and other communication skills. Experience working with volunteers preferred
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate institutional needs and mission to all constituencies
• Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team
• Proficiency with a wide variety of software, including database (Raiser’s Edge and Senior Systems preferred)
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as necessary
• Ability to travel as necessary
