POSITION SUMMARY: This position reports to the Director of Information Technology and the Building Administrator, and is responsible to provide a full range of technical support required to maintain the Chromebook program at the Middle School level.

The Tech Assistant is responsible to assist with the maintenance and of the Chromebook program, including:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Assist students with technical issues related to Chromebooks, such as login issues.

2. Provide students with loaner Chromebooks and ensuring that loaners are returned and inventoried.

3. Provide administrative and office management support for the IT Department, including processing insurance claims, etc.

4. Conduct minor repairs to Chromebooks.

5. Performs related duties as assigned by the Director of IT and/or the Building Administrator.

TRAINING/QUALIFICATIONS: This position is best served by an individual with strong problem solving ability. The qualified candidate must also be open to and learn new skills, possess 1-2 years experience in supporting technology. The qualified candidate must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and possess strong analytical skills, flexibility, and the ability to operate efficiently under a heavy workload with frequently shifting priorities. Technical expertise and knowledge of Google Apps for Education and Chromebooks is preferred.
