Manchester Elementary Middle School (MEMS) is seeking a Co-Principal for grades 5-8. The Co-Principal will team with the preK-4 Co-Principal to collaboratively provide leadership for school-wide initiatives and the Co-Principals will share school management responsibilities.
MEMS is committed to fostering educational environments that respond to the learning needs and aspirations of all its learners. We are seeking candidates who are committed to continuous improvement and have successfully demonstrated change leadership. The MEMS middle level grades are in year one of a three year commitment with the Tarrant Institute with a focus on project-based learning using proficiencies.
Successful candidates must be proven instructional leaders and will ideally have experience in the following instructional areas: middle level best practice, the workshop model, project-based learning, proficiency-based learning, learner agency, student-led conferencing, inclusive special education practices, PBiS, data teams, and the use of personal learning plans. Successful candidates will be up to date on educational research and have the ability to work collaboratively with fellow administrators, teachers, students, parents, and community members.
Manchester Elementary Middle School is one of five schools in the Taconic and Green Regional School District and is a member of the Bennington Rutland Supervisory Union (BRSU).
