Job Description

Compass Public Charter School provides a unique opportunity to work in a K-12 aligned school requiring strong collaboration skills and a willingness to contribute to the positive school culture. Our curriculum is challenging and mastery based, our students are enthusiastic, and our colleagues are dedicated and flexible. Just as we promise our students, educators at Compass have unlimited potential to get out of the work exactly what they put in.

The Compass Candidate Profile document which can be found on our school website will help clarify the characteristics, competencies and mindset necessary to succeed as a teacher at Compass Public Charter School. It is not intended to be an exhaustive list of what we are looking for. Rather it should provide a flavor of the kind of professional who can thrive in this distinctive education model.

Our school is a public charter school located in Meridian, Idaho. Founded by a group of dedicated parents, Compass opened its doors in August 2005. Like most charter schools in our community, Compass was established to add a strong public school choice for families in our area. We now serve over 1,000 students in grades K-12. We believe in the mastery learning model where classroom assessments and teacher feedback are tools FOR learning.
