About STMA Schools
We are a district that serves over 6,000 students and employs 725 employees in a northwestern suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Our district is comprised of one primary school for kindergarten students, three elementary schools for grades 1-4, two middle schools for grades 5-8, and one high school for grades 9-12.


Position Overview & Responsibilities
Responsible for working with a student with high needs in meeting the behavioral and physical needs at Kids Play as identified by the Kids Play Coordinator in either an individual or small group setting under the direction of the Kids Play personnel; maintain confidentiality of student and family information as required under FERPA. Start date: Immediately
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 2:00-5:00p, 9 month position.


Requirements & Qualifications
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and two years of post secondary education or successful completion of the ParaPro; ability to work with staff to provide services to students with high needs; able to lift 25 pounds, work indoors and outdoors in a range of temperatures, and in a fast pace physically active and loud environment associated with children’s activities; previous experience in working with students or adults with disabilities preferred.


Salary & Benefits
Competitive salary and benefits package. This position is eligible for Step 3 placement with a wage range from $15.11-17.29/hour. For more information, please see the Support Staff Master Agreement.
