Peace Valley Charter School
Peace Valley is accepting applications for early childhood teachers and assistants to bring the Waldorf pedagogy to life via storytelling, singing, recitation, movement, watercolor painting, beeswax modeling, drawing, finger knitting, crafting, gardening, cooking, and baking.
The Idaho Content Standards are embedded in the life of early childhood in a way that the children experience a rhythmic and play-based program. The individuals filling these positions will be responsible for guiding students through a seasonally thematic program with circle time, free play, and nature exploration 5 days per week.
The ideal candidate is a loving authority figure who creates a beautiful and joyous environment rich with seasonal festivals. The individual must be passionate about art and nature-based early childhood education and family enrichment. As a member of the Peace Valley Charter School faculty, you will be joining a group of individuals whose foundation in pedagogy is based on the Waldorf School approach, guided by the principles taught by Rudolf Steiner and by the Core Tenets of Public Waldorf Education.
Our faculty, individually and as a group, engage in ongoing professional development, study, and self-renewal, which informs and enhances the artistic, academic and social capacities necessary for bringing the content and delivery of our lessons to the children.
Kindergarten teachers do not loop with students but welcome a new class of students each year.
