Job Description

Position Summary

Working from our office in Boise, Idaho, and under the direct supervision of the School Leader, the State Reporting Specialist will work as part of the administrative assistant department and assist with efforts to ensure graduation cohort and withdrawal data is accurate and complete. The State Reporting Specialist will work to determine student populations, meet deadlines, and achieve service levels. This position will play a vital role in graduation rate improvement initiatives. The State Reporting Specialist will also assist with daily administrative tasks of the school such as answering phones and email, receiving visitors, assisting the principal and teachers with administrative tasks, filing, and other duties as assigned.

Compensation Package:

Starting hourly wage: $13.00-17.00 an hour (varies based on experience)

Entering data into the online student information system;
Generating reports;
Records custodian;
Answering the phones, speaking with parents and students, and scheduling appointments;
Contact local schools or school districts to obtain verification of student enrollment;
Understand the Connections Academy and Pearson Online & Blended Learning enrollment and re-enrollment process to assist families who wish to continue with a Connections Academy school;
Understand the state-specific withdrawal codes to effectively update online student information and other reporting systems; Demonstrate a thorough understanding of Connections Academy withdrawal processes;
Contact families of withdrawn students through phone calls, email, text message, and mail to obtain information on the next schooling their student attended after leaving; Update student data to reflect the type of next schooling and required documentation;
Communicate appropriate information to the school to ensure proper updating of state reporting systems;
Provide information regarding local schooling options for parents;
Use virtual platforms to find current contact information for parents as needed;
Assist and work with the corporate Connections Academy and Pearson Online & Blended Learning teams on various tasks;
Assist Student Services/Counseling Department with daily responsibilities;
Assist School Leader, administration, and school staff with a wide variety of daily responsibilities;
Participate in one on one meetings with the School Leader and the administrative department;
Other duties as assigned.

School Summary

Inspire, the Idaho Connections Academy, is a tuition-free, online public charter school serving students in grades K–12 throughout Idaho. Inspire is authorized under state law by the Idaho Charter School Commission and governed by an independent Board of Directors. The school is operated by INSPIRE Academics, Inc., a nonprofit corporation, through a contract with Connections Education, LLC, to provide its educational program and other services. Inspire is accredited by the Northwest Accreditation Commission, an accrediting division of AdvancED.
