Job Description
We are now accepting applications for a part-time paraprofessional position, to provide Tier III reading supports to our elementary students. This part-time position is at Bruneau Elementary.

Primary responsibilities
  • This is a part-time position, most likely in the afternoons.
  • Weekly meeting with Title I Dir.
  • Teach struggling readers Tier III reading strategies - 4 days per week
  • Work 1:1 or 1:2 or 1:3 with our elementary students, under the direction & guidance of our Title I Dir. & Elementary Principal
  • Model appropriate social skills, adaptive behavior, and problem-solving skills
  • Establish supportive relationships with students
  • Willingness to work with teachers, administration and accept direction from the Title I Dir. in an effort to impact student achievement
  • Maintain student confidentiality
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on principal directives
  • Working hours will be 1/2 days, 4 days a week
  • Attend monthly professional development with BGV staff
  • Attend bi-weekly staff meetings after school

The Bruneau-Grand View Joint School District #365 now serves roughly 320 students from Elmore & Owhyee counties. Though our student population is small, we’re one of the largest geographic districts in the state at 5,725 square miles. The parents of our students support our ranching & agricultural-based economy; many are working in the industry in some form. Our largest company-based employers include Simplot, Idaho Power, BLM and the school, district.
