Job Description

Malad Elementary School has an opening for a school counselor. The School Counselor will be responsible for social-emotional learning of the student body. They will teach self-regulation skills for individual students and groups of students. They will support the school, students, and families to access appropriate services and resources. The counselor will work with the school staff regarding prevention and intervention strategies, and data monitoring to inform progress toward student and school goals. The ability to collaboratively problem solve with colleagues, parents and agency partners is essential, as is having the flexibility to adjust and respond to unanticipated situations in an elementary school setting.
