Gem Prep seeks to hire a director of human resources. This position is responsible for the overall management of all personnel administration for the organization. Responsibilities include the recruitment, hiring, and placement of employees; employee relations; management of employee benefits; workforce planning and administration; and other personnel activities in the Gem Innovation Schools (GIS) network.
Gem Prep is a K- 12 college preparatory school. At least sixty percent of Gem Prep students will graduate high school with an associate’s degree and the remainder will graduate with at least 18 college credits. During the elementary years, Gem Prep believes in building a strong academic foundation to prepare students for the rigorous learning environment in grades 7-12

The following are required: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in human resource management, business administration, or a related field. Five (5) years of experience in human resources administration and leadership development required (three (3) of which have been in a key leadership role). Must possess a high degree of skill in personnel administration, employee relations, leadership development, and organizational management. Superb collaboration and communication skills (written and oral) in English that clearly articulates goals, risks, assumptions, and recommendations. Exceptionally skilled at reviewing and interpreting policies and technical regulation as it pertains to recruitment, hiring and placement of employees, employee relations, management of employee benefits, workforce planning and administration, and other personnel activities in the organization. Must possess demonstrated ability of professional and personal characteristics necessary for working effectively with school personnel and members of the community.
The following are preferred: Master’s degree in human resource management, business administration, or a related field. SHRM-CP certification. Knowledge of school system policies and practices.
At least 5 years of relevant experience preferred
Bachelor degree preferred
Citizenship, residency or work VISA in United States required
