Job Description

Filer School District is accepting applications for a Behavioral Intervention Team Leader position (8hrs/day) at Filer High School. The applicants must meet State guidelines for behavior specialist status. The salary is according to the negotiated salary schedule. This position will be open until filled.     Job Requirements

      1.BS/BA degree or higher in human services field, with at least 21 related credits and/or Habilitation Intervention (HI) certified
      2.Master’s degree preferred
      3.Preferred three (3) years experience in providing social services to children and/or adults, preferably in a mental health related field
      4.Aptitude for the work to be performed
      5.Interest in children and education
      6.Desire to assist students with emotional disturbance in a learning environment
      7.Emotional maturity and stability necessary for the specialized work involved
      8.Ability to communicate effectively through verbal and non-verbal, including written, communications
      9.Ability to work independently and interdependently in different school locations and with different people
      10.Ability to build rapport with students, parents and other professionals
      11.Ability to problem solve a variety of behavioral and social situations
      12.Effective time management and organizational skills
      13.Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board find appropriate and acceptable
